You’ve known your
diagnosis for a while. You know the basics about how your ADHD
affects you – whether it’s distractibility, poor time management,
disorganization, impulsivity, procrastination or other symptoms. You
may be taking medication, getting therapy or counseling, and working
on improving work performance, organization, self-image,
relationships and social skills.

put those skills into action in a weekly therapy group where you
receive guidance and productive feedback, and are challenged,
supported and inspired by your peers and a team of ADHD experts in a

Peter
Jaksa, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist
Founder
and Clinical Director of ADHD Centers, Chicago.
Peter
Jaksa is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 20 years’
experience working with children and adults with ADHD. From
1998 through 2001, Dr. Jaksa served as president of the National
Attention Deficit Disorder Association (www.add.org). He is the
author of the book, 25 Stupid Mistakes Parents Make (Lowell
House/NTC Contemporary, 1999, a Parenting Advisor for ADDitude
Magazine (www.additudemag.com) and a member of the Scientific
Advisory Board.
Dr. Jaksa has been interviewed on ADHD topics
for a range of media outlets, including
The Wall Street Journal.
He is the author of numerous articles and columns about ADHD,
including articles published in ADDitude Magazine,
Attention Magazine, Organize Magazine, and FOCUS.

Alison Bauman
has more than 5 years’ experience developing and implementing
strategies to manage ADHD behaviors. Her holistic approach
incorporates self-awareness and self-monitoring, building
motivation, accomplishment of goals within the coaching system,
challenging negative thoughts, beliefs and habits, and lifestyle
interventions such as nutrition, movement, meditation and
experiential exercises. As someone with ADHD herself, Alison relies
on creative strategies and a sense of humor to understand the
particular challenges of people with ADHD. In addition to providing
ADHD coaching services, Alison is co-leader of ADHD Centers’
FOCUS: Adult ADHD Therapy Group for Beginners, and is the
creator of ADHD Centers’ monthly e-newsletter.
